Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program On February 17, 2009, President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which provides for $1.5 billion for the Homelessness Prevention Fund. Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development - MD STATE PROGRAM offers program is called the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Rehousing Program (HPRP) and is distributed according to the formula for the Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) program. Grant recipients may provide rental services or services to program participants who live or wish to reside outside their jurisdiction. They may also fund subcommittees that serve persons located outside a jurisdiction, subcommittees that are located outside a jurisdiction and subcommittees that serve multiple jurisdictions. The Grant Recipient may establish stricter requirements, such as requiring HPRP funds to be spent within the jurisdiction or requiring residence, but the HUD does not establish these requirements.     how can i get into your housing program im a single mother of 3 and one of my sons are special needed i jus came out a shelter and the program i was in wont help me because my mother is head of house hold i really need some help i dont have a home for my kids and i cant go back in the shelter cause they treated us so bad and my son have health programs.

    We are 2 seniors currently unemployed due to COVID and need rental assistance. We don't meet the Social Security requirements as of yet.
