Community Action Agency of Jackson, Lenawee and Hillsdale Counties offers Homeless/Emergency Shelter Prevention Program supports residents of Jackson and Hillsdale County who are at risk of eviction. The program provides timely intervention for people at risk - before a crisis escalates in the latter stages of the eviction process. Participants can receive assistance in paying utility bills, rent/pledge, security deposit, first month rent and other unmet needs. The program also provides mediation services for landlords in Jackson County who are at risk of eviction and for landlords who are trying to solve a short-term crisis with their tenants, thus avoiding evictions.
