Henderson County Department of Social Services

Henderson County Department of Social Services offers Emergency Assistance Program  that is designed to help families with emergency needs, such as media cut-off, eviction notice, etc. Among other criteria, a household must have a child who meets the age requirements of living with them and who is in their care, have an income of or below 200% of the federal poverty level, and meet the U.S. citizenship requirements. Emergency assistance is designed to alleviate non-recurring and short-term situations and is not intended to meet current needs. Assistance cannot extend beyond four months.
