The Times Herald-record's People for People Fund

People for People is a non-profit 501(c) corporation organized under the laws of the State of New York. Its purpose is to provide temporary financial assistance to residents with ties to the Times Herald-Record's readership area, which covers Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster counties, in New York, plus parts of Pike County, Pennsylvania. Their primary focus is on applicants who are steadily employed who experience a temporary financial emergency or need that cannot be funded by other public or private sources. Unemployed applicants who have steady work history and are receiving unemployment insurance, worker's compensation or short-term disability benefits also may qualify. Stats:  * $4,480,200 has been distributed in the 29 year of their operation. * In 2014, 325 qualified applicants were assisted through the tireless work of their volunteers. * In 2014, $163,000 was distributed to those qualified applicants.

    Not able to pay back rent with all the bills so was looking for some assistance. Rent is 1050 a month and I'm back until everything is back to normal.
