Services: Emergency rent when in danger of being evicted.Utility assistance when having utilities shut off. Documents to bring: Photo ID Social Security cards for everyone Eviction notice and lease agreement Utility bills Receipts for rent Proof of income for the past 30 days DCF Vision/ETB card if receiving cash assistance or food stamps

A loving presence to those in need and advocates for the powerless, we offer hope to families regardless of race, ethnicity, religion or gender, as they deal with life’s daily challenges. We help them with emergency financial support for rent and utilities, provide case management toward resolutions of on-going difficulties, and assure the dignity and self respect of each individual.

I need help so badly. I have been trying to get through on the phone literally all day long, every Monday for six weeks. I was told I could walk in but that the line starts as early as 4 am. I am a single mom with a four year old and twin two month olds. I have no one to keep them while I come stand in line in these frigid temperatures. I don't know what to do. I list my job right before I had the babies, my wallet was stolen and they took everything done I had, I have gotten any unemployment yet and no job yet even though I've put in a hundred applications. I desperately need an appointment with the Center of Hope.

I need help with rent full time, only getting $219 each week on my checks, my SSI cut me down $37.97. I can't pay rent.
