Community Development Office - BERKS COUNTY offers program called the Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousing Program (HPRP) and is allocated based on the formula used in the Emergency Evacuation Grant (ESG) program. Scholars may provide assistance or rental services to program participants who reside or would like to reside outside of their jurisdiction. T he grantee may have stricter requirements, such as a jurisdictional HPRP requirement or residency requirement, but HUD does not.

    Good afternoon , I was referred to Your program for assistance with paying my back rent. I was unemployed for a few months and I fell behind in my rent payments. I started a full-time job in July and have been trying to catch up with the payments . My landlord has filed an eviction notice . I have resided in this house for 6 years and I truly want to remain here. Any help that I can receive will be appreciated.
