Junior Welfare Society is a nonprofit charitable organization founded in 1955 and dedicated to improving the quality of life in Broward County.
Their mission is to help residents bridge the gap between despair and hope by offering stabilizing assistance to families and individuals who are undergoing crisis or experiencing an unexpected financial setback.
This all-volunteer group raises money to offer a unique service in Broward County-they furnish readily available funds for emergency, onetime use for those who are in need.

Rent for a working mom in an abusive relationship
Mortgage for a family of 8, mother recently lost job
Auto insurance for husband who needs a car to provide for family
Rent to assist a foster care system young adult raising siblings
Home expenses to assist a recent high school graduate working full time to support disabled family member
Rent for a mother of 5 gaining workforce skills while one child seeks employment to help with bills
