About Department of Metropolitan Development

Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program. Homeless Prevention Guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Target Clients:     * Renters who reside in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Gibson County     * At imminent risk of losing rental housing (within 7-10 days)     * Without resources to stay in current housing or secure new housing     * Able to maintain stable housing in a short amount of time     * At or below 50% of Area Median Income:         Family of four $30,450 or below         Family of two $24,350 or below         Individual $21,300 Rapid Re-Housing Guidelines Target Clients:    *  Renters who reside in Evansville     * Fit the Federal definition of homeless (living on streets, in an emergency shelter or exiting/timing out of a transitional housing program)     * Without resources to secure housing     * Able to become stable in housing in a short amount of time     * At or below 50% of Area Median Income:         Family of four $30,450 or below         Family of two $24,350 or below         Individual $21,300
