For over twenty five years HANDS OF HOPE OUTREACH CENTER has provided critical emergency assistance to low-income families in need in the mid-Cape area (Mashpee to Harwich), offering emergency food, financial assistance to prevent evictions and homelessness, emergency sheltering, assistance with utility and medical bills, clothing, and small household goods.

I was injured at my job in January 2019, the accident has left me with a brain injury which I have been working hard retraining my brain to be able to do everyday tasks in regaining as much as I am able. I stay positive with hope and have excepted my new life moving forward. I have been renting the house I am living in now for almost 10yrs and it's more cost effective to stay rather than trying to come up with the amounts Landloards on the entire Cape are asking. I also have received a limited amount of help trying to file for a divorce from my astranged husband who has put me into more than $30,000 in debt. I don't want anyone to feel sorry for me as that is not why I am pleading for your help with some of my bills, the stress from my money problems causing me pure fear anytime someone knocks on my door or a bill collector calls or my Landlord leaves another eviction notice on my doorstep, my progress at times gets overwhelmed by stress. If there is anything you might be able to help me out with I would greatly appreciate even talking to someone with a direction I could try. Thank you for you time. Martha.
