When you live in poverty in Midland, the likelihood that you are overburdened by your rent is 70%. In Midland County, approximately 11,700 people live in poverty; so, over 8,000 people in our area, who are already living in poverty, are paying more than 35% of their income for rent.Caregiving Network helps people in eviction status to stay in their homes. We collaborate with several local agencies, nonprofits and churches to evaluate each situation for sustainability, to make a housing plan together with our clients, and to keep people housed.In addition to rent assistance we also offer help with utilities shut offs and transportation.
