Homelessness prevention and rapid housing programmes. On February 17, 2009, President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which provides $1.5 billion for a Homelessness Prevention Fund. Charleston County Grants Administration - CHARLESTON COUNTY offers program that called the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP), is distributed based on the formula used for the Emergency Shelter Grants (ESG) program. Beneficiaries may provide rental assistance or services to eligible program participants who reside or wish to reside outside their jurisdiction. Funding may also be provided to subgrantees serving persons outside the jurisdiction, subgrantees located outside the jurisdiction, and subgrantees serving multiple jurisdictions. A grantee may impose stricter requirements, such as requiring HPRP funds to be spent within the jurisdiction or setting a residency requirement, but HUD does not set these requirements.     I am in dire need of rental assistance I lost my job in May and I have been looking for work. My landlord will stop the eviction if I come up with the rent before the eviction paper work is done and served. Please email me back if you can help or know of any other place that can help.

    My four year old son and I are in desperate need of help. I lost my fiancee (Jaxon's father) in 2015 to addiction, due to this horrible loss I then had our son , prematurely, the very next morning. Yes,I too suffer from the disease of addiction, but by the Lord's good grace and the strength of a mother's love for her son I am thankfully in recovery and have been for a while. I have been through many beyond difucult trial and tribulations in my life including abuse and sexual assault. I must say I believe I am the definition of a fighter in every aspect. So despite it all I am truly in a great place in my life, my recovery, and motherhoof

    Hello im in need of rental assistance and im on the verge of getting evicted. I was out of work for a while after the covid started.and just recently got a new job and i am trying to catch up all bills but im overwhelmed and it seems like im getting nowhere. Can someone please help me.I have 4 children at home that i am trying to keep a roof over their heads
