I need some help ASAP! I was on section 8 for 5 1/2 years, my son's father stop paying child support for 9 months. I work also counted on the child support to pay my rent. When he got behind in the support I couldn't pay my rent because there was not enough money from my check because I had electric bills n other obligations. This caused me to get evicted n kicked off the section 8 program. I tried to explain it to the landlord n section 8, but they turned it over to collections . I am currently living with my mom in a one bedroom with my son. I 've been to child support court n waiting for results. What I want is a 2 bedroom apartment for my son n i, so we can have a place to call home. It's hard trying to find a place because of my eviction. I am a responsible young mom who as always tried to do the best for my son, he is my main priority. I just want someone to give me a new start n allow me to start all over n continue my journey with my 6 yr old. Thanks Jessica Malone

I have been recently granted a section 8 voucher and temporary guardianship of my 3 grand children and I have not rented an apartment in over 5-6 years. Since getting this voucher I have applied to several apt complexes and have been denied. Later to find out the reason was that I owed a previous landlord. I have now found an apt complex that is willing to rent to me however they said I have to pay 75% of the balance owed to that complex before they can move forward. I am trying to find an agency that can help me pay that balance so that I can get the aprartment and before 01/31/2020 when my voucher expires. I currently work and can afford the rent but I don't have the money to pay the past bal owed. I just recently went to work in Nov 2019. If you can help please let me know or if you know of any other agency that can help with my balance owed. thanks
