Homelessness prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program
On 17 February 2009, President Obama signed the U.S. Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which earmarks $1.5 billion for a Homelessness Prevention Fund.
City of Colorado Springs, Economic Development Department, Housing and Community Development Division - COLORADO SPRINGS offers program called the Rapid Housing and Re-Housing Prevention Program (HPRP), is being distributed based on the formula used for the Emergency Shelter Grants (ESG) program.
Beneficiaries can provide assistance or rental services to eligible program participants who reside or wish to reside outside their jurisdiction.
They may also fund subguarantees that serve people outside the jurisdiction, subguarantees that are located outside the jurisdiction, and subguarantees that serve multiple jurisdictions.
A scholarship holder can set stricter requirements, e.g. B. the use of HPRP funds within the jurisdiction or the establishment of a residence requirement, but HUD does not specify these requirements.
