Homelessness prevention and early re-housing programme On February 17, 2009, President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which provided $1.5 billion for a Homelessness Prevention Fund. Office of Real Estate Housing and Community Development - MIAMI BEACH provides program that called the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP), is distributed based on the formula used for the Emergency Shelter Grants (ESG) program. Beneficiaries may provide rental assistance or services to eligible program participants who reside or wish to reside outside their jurisdiction. Funding may also be provided to subgrantees serving persons outside the jurisdiction, subgrantees located outside the jurisdiction, and subgrantees serving multiple jurisdictions. A scholarship holder can set stricter requirements, e.g. B. the use of HPRP funds within the jurisdiction or the establishment of a residence requirement, but HUD does not specify these requirements.
