Emergency Services CARD’s Emergency Services Program provides low income customers with assistance in emergency situations.  CARD believes that a person often needs a “hand-up” rather than a “hand-out” on their journey out of poverty.Each of CARD’s County Representatives will make efforts to assist with your emergency situation and/or offer referrals for a possible long term solution. (Rental/ Utility Assistance)Documentation Required* Proof of income for all household members* Social Security cards for all household members* Current utility bill showing meter reading (for utility assistance)* Eviction notice (for rental assistance)

    Hello I'm a single mother of three in need of help paying rent. I just received an eviction notice

    I am in need of help with rent, I do not have an eviction notice yet and I was told if they give me one then regardless of rental payment the eviction will go through anyway. I have had issues paying rent for the last year and 1/2 and have kept my bank account in the negative after paying rent, now I am beyond being able to pay it.
