Miami/Homestead Neighborhood Service Center

The Miami/Homestead Neighborhood Service Center is a part of the Community Action Agency Board. This is an advisory board to the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners regarding the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of Community Service Block grant (CSBG) programs and other programs administered by the Community Action and Human Services Department. The boards role is to advise the County on issues and causes of poverty in Miami-Dade County; the reduction of such poverty, and the revitalization of low-income communities by empowering individuals and families to become self-sufficient. Rental Assistance: Emergency Food and Shelter Assistance (EFSA) is utilized to assist individuals and families in need of emergency assistance with issues regarding payment of utility bills, rent and mortgage payments, and also provides temporary shelter and food. This service is offered at the following Community Enrichment Centers: Liberty City Community Enrichment Center Goulds Community Enrichment Center Accion Community Enrichment Center
