Department of Planning and Urban Development - AKRON offers program, called the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP), is distributed based on the formula used for the Emergency Shelter Grants (ESG) program. Scholars can offer rental assistance or services to Eligible Program Participants who are resident or wish to live outside their jurisdiction. A beneficiary can set more stringent requirements, such as requiring PRPS funds to be spent in the jurisdiction or establishing a residency requirement, but HUD does not set these requirements.
